Is a once in a lifetime experience that promises to leave you breathless. Starting from the Serengeti plains in Tanzania, you will witness millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles as they make their annual trek to the lush grasslands of the Masai Mara in Kenya. The spectacle of these majestic creatures, in their natural habitat, is truly a sight to behold.
Our expert guides will take you on game drives in specially equipped vehicles, where you can view the migration up close. They will provide detailed explanations about the animals, their habits, and their interactions with their environment.
In addition to game drives, we offer a hot air balloon ride, which will give you an unparalleled view of the migration from above. As you soar over the savannah, you will have a chance to capture stunning aerial photographs of the vast herds. After each day’s activities, you can relax in our comfortable, luxury tents, equipped with all modern amenities. Enjoy sumptuous meals and unwind under the starry African skies.
Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by our friendly representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. After checking in and settling into your room, take some time to relax and recuperate after your long flight. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring the hotel facilities and surroundings or simply lounging in your room. Dinner will be provided at the hotel.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your adventure begins bright and early after breakfast, as you head to the Tarangire National Park, located just a few hours drive from Arusha. With a full day of safari ahead of you, you load up in our comfortable Land cruiser and make your way through the beautiful countryside of Tanzania. Along the way, your experience guide regales you with stories of the local flora and fauna, pointing out animals as you drive past. As you arrive at Tarangire, you’ll be greeted with breathtaking vistas of towering baobab trees, savannah plains, and winding river valleys. You take in the scenery and the peaceful surroundings, marveling at the beautiful landscape and unique wildlife.
You embark on a full day of game drives, spotting a variety of animals including elephants, wildebeests, giraffes, lions, and more. Our guide expertly navigates us through the park, providing insights and stories along the way. As you make your way to the lunch spot, you find a perfect spot under a shady tree where you relax and savor a packed lunch.
After lunch, you head back on our afternoon game drive, with more sightings of wildlife like impalas, zebras, warthogs, and buffaloes. As the day draws to a close, you head to your hotel in Karatu where we’ll have dinner and rest for the night
Day 3: Lake Manyara (Karatu) to Serengeti
Today you begin our journey towards the legendary Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its wildlife, stunning landscapes, and incredible natural beauty. You’ll start early and head west towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a stunning region that is home to some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife.
You’ll then descend down to the vast plains of the Serengeti, home to over 3 million mammals including wildebeests, zebras, elephants, giraffes, and of course, lions. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to see the wildlife up close as we take a game drive through the park.
Day 4: Full day game drive in Serengeti National Park
Wake up to the sound of nature, and after breakfast, the tour of Serengeti National Park begins with an evening game drive. Your expert guide will take you deep into the heart of the park to explore the diverse wildlife, landscapes, and habitat that make Serengeti so unique. Expect to see predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they go hunting in the savannah.
The Serengeti is famous for its abundant wildebeest population, and with a little luck, you might witness the great wildebeest migration, which is the world’s largest mammal migration. Apart from wildebeest, you will also encounter zebras, giraffes, elephants, buffalos, and many more fascinating species.
As the sun sets on the horizon, the drive takes a romantic turn, and you will be amazed at how nature transforms into a world of magical beauty. You will be back to the lodge after the game drive, and dinner will be served shortly.
Day 5: Serengeti National park full day game drive.
Wake up to a hot breakfast and another exciting day of game drives ahead. Your guide will take you on an early morning drive to experience the vast plains of Serengeti. You’ll have a great opportunity to spot the Big Five and other species of wildlife as they graze in the fresh morning breeze. Your guide will give you insights about their lifestyle and behaviors.
Later, return to your accommodation for lunch, or with an option to enjoy your lunch box at any picnic site.
Afternoon game drive takes you deep into the wilderness, this time targeting the beautiful central Serengeti, grumeti river or Maasai Mara river to spot hippopotamus and crocodiles basking in the sun along the river banks. Catching the magnificent wildebeest migration (between November to May) would also be an unforgettable highlight of your safari.
Return to your lodge to enjoy your dinner, the fireflies, and sounds of the bush.
Day 6: Drive From Serengeti to Ngorongoro Area
After a hearty breakfast, we will start a morning game drive in the Serengeti. Then, we will continue on to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey will be accompanied by some awe-inspiring views and stop-overs to stretch your legs.
We will stop by the Olduvai Gorge to learn about prehistoric humans.
Then you will check into your unique and luxurious lodge overlooking the crater floor, before exploring the local Masai village and learning about the local customs and traditions.
Day 7: Ngorongoro crater and return to Arusha
Rise and shine early to Descend to Ngorongoro Crater. This world-renowned conservation area is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a true wonder of the natural world. As you drive to the rim of the crater, the stunning landscape of this vast caldera unfolds before you, revealing its dramatic beauty.
Descending into the crater, you’ll experience one of the richest wildlife habitats on earth, home to an estimated 30,000 large mammals. You may spot rare black rhinos, packs of lions, and elephants wandering through the forests. Keep your camera ready for amazing wildlife photos and breathtaking scenery!
After your exciting game drive, you’ll overnight in Arusha, a charming town known for its fertile soil and colorful markets. Meet friendly locals, shop for handmade crafts, and enjoy delicious local cuisine. It’s the perfect way to end your unforgettable Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater adventure!.
Day 8: Arusha to the airport
After a hearty breakfast, with an option, we’ll drive you to Arusha where you’ll have an opportunity to do some shopping at the local markets or spend your leisurely morning peacefully at the hotel before being dropped off at the airport. Our safaris may have come to an end, but the memories and experiences of your trip will stay with you forever.
